Meditation I

I bring myself to rest by the calm and still waters of a refreshing and hidden lake.  Like that lake, my uneasy and restless soul, gives way into the calm.  I feel the clear calmness of that lake within me. I feel free to release ALL the burdens I have been holding. (Take a deep breath, hold 5 sec, then sigh slowly and deeply.)
I feel refreshed and restored.  I now release ALL my fears for there is no evil here, no threats to my survival, no demands, no requirements - only PEACE and calm. (Take a deep breath, hold 5 sec, then sigh slowly and deeply.)

There is no striving here, no cause to seek after.  My body, my mind, my soul feel free.  I see the light of a Divinely lit sun pouring out glistening rays of blessings through the branches of tall and protective trees.  As these rays of pure light envelops me, my body and my life's energies are replenished.  These rays penetrate my whole being like a healing balm.  Then I hear music, as from the divine and angelic choir.  My whole being is grasped and brought into one divine accord with this heavenly tune.  I fully relent and become one with this rhythm.  (Take a deep breath, hold 5 sec, then sigh slowly and deeply.)

The still small waves of the lake and I are one.  The shimmering glistening rays of this divine sun and I are one.  The beauty and peace of this day and place and I are ONE.   (Remain quiet and still for 5 min more.)
